Stay in the Know-March 30th, 2020
Beginning Monday, March the 30th we will be offering Virtual Adoptions!
Here are the easy steps of how our Virtual Adoptions will take place:
Step 1- Adoptions begin with previewing photos of the pet that you are interested in. You can find our current pets on our Adoptable Pets Tab!
Step 2- Click on the pet of your interest and follow the apply now button to complete your application.
Step 3- A member of our staff will contact you by phone to setup an appointment for you to come and meet the pet of your choice.
APPOINTMENT INSTRUCTIONS: **Please note that these are very important. If you do not comply, you will be asked to leave.**
PLEASE MAINTAIN A 6 FOOT DISTANCE FROM STAFF!
If you have had a fever, cough, sore throat, or other illness in the past 14 days, we ask that you stay at home. There are many people in our community that rely on us doing our part to lessen the spread of common illnesses.
We are only allowing serious adopters who have approved applications at this time.
Pet records will be placed in a packet for your convenience. Appointments are limited to 30 minutes so that we can serve others as well.
For pets that are not already spayed and neutered during your visit, we will set up the surgery appointment and you will pickup your new pet directly from the veterinarians office.
We are excited to offer this service so that our shelter residents have a chance at a forever home while keeping the public safe!
IMPORTANT: The DeKalb Animal Shelter reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone. No animal will be adopted to prospective owners who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on the application.
